Gabriela Alicia Rojas Jiménez

Gabriela Alicia Rojas Jiménez was born and raised in Mexico City. She studied at the Instituto Politénico Nacional (IPN) where she graduated as a Public Accountant in 1991.

Ms. Rojas worked at “Price Waterhouse”, at their Main Office in Mexico City for five years where in her last year she was a senior auditor. While with “Price Waterhouse” she had the opportunity to audit different kinds of companies, among them: “Grupo Gutsa”, “Avantel, S.A.” (Subsidiary of MCI company), “Grupo Alsea”, “ Romansa, S.A. de C.V”, whose main activities were principally: Construction, telephony services, fast-food business (Domino’s Pizza) and Maquiladoras. This work led Gabriela to be involved in Financial Consolidations; Audit for fiscal and financial purposes; preparation of financial internal reports and financial statements in accordance with USA accounting rules (including Consolidation of Financial Statements).

In 2001 she joined USCO Logistics that is a subsidiary of Kuehne & Nagel Group whose main activity is Freight Forwarding and Storage Merchandise. She was in charge of accounting, treasury, accounts payable and payroll departments. During this time she also worked on mergers of the companies and spin-offs, in accordance with the Specific Rules of the National Banking and Exchange Commission.

While with USCO, Gabriela participated and coordinated, the following activities:

  • “Total Quality Program”;
  • “Branch Budget Program”;
  • Person in charge of setting up “PeopleSoft System” in accounts payable and accounts receivable process.

Ms. Rojas has also received training from USCO Main Office in Connecticut, U.S. regarding PeopleSoft system and USA accounting rules.

In September 2004 Gabriela joined our Accounting Team in the Zihuatanejo Office, taking care of General Accounting, Taxes and Administrative procedures for major investment development projects.

In 1994 she became a member of “Colegio de Contadores Públicos de México”.

During 2002 she obtained a Diploma in “Business Controlling” at the Colegio de Contadores Publicos de Mexico”, in Mexico City.
