Erika Maria Rodriguez Cortes
Erika Maria Rodriguez Cortes was born and raised in Mexico City and studied law at Universidad Iberoamericana, where she graduated with honors in 1998 andbecame a fully certified attorney.
In 1996 Mrs. Rodriguez joined Connell & Associates (formerly Peyton and Connell) at the Mexico City office. From 1998 to 2000 she worked at the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo office and in January 2000 she moved to the Puerto Vallarta office, where she worked for 2 more years.
From 2002 to 2006 Mrs. Rodriguez worked for “Mancera, S.C., a member of Ernst & Young Global”, one of the top 5 Accounting and Legal Firms in México, where she acquired experience in different corporate areas of Mexican law. Later on Mrs. Rodriguez worked in “Grupo Salinas”, one of the biggest groups of companies in Mexico.
In 2003 Mrs. Rodriguez wrote an article for the legal magazine of Mancera, S.C., a member of Ernst & Young Global regarding real state trusts.
In May 2007 Mrs. Rodriguez was offered the opportunity to return to Connell & Associates, where she currently works at the Mexico City branch office of the firm, specializing in federal zone concessions and environmental impact studies.
Mrs. Rodriguez is fluent in both English and Spanish and her areas of specialization include real estate law, corporate law and contracts, foreign investment law, environmental law, due diligence, legal counseling and immigration law.
